In my younger days, I always dreaded when report cards came out!  I mean "ALWAYS".  I usually made a passing grade.  That was about it......A Passing Grade!  Thats how it went even thru college.

My Grandma once summed it up best one evening in my parents living room.  Grandma Alvie looked me square in the eye and said  "
Scott it's not that your dumb, you just don't apply yourself"  Grandma Alvie was a smart lady!  I remember laughing, knowing she was right! 

Well, I don't think those are words I will ever have to udder to my two girls.  T-nite was Parent-Teacher conference nite.  Ya know the nite we parents look forward too and dread at the same time!?!  I will leave it at that

I love you two girls!  Thanx for making all of us proud!

Once Again the weekend has come and gone!

There just never seems to be enuff time when you have things to do, and people to do them with! 

 The weekend for me really equals a day and a half.  It truley starts on saturday after 10am (thats when I am released of "most" of my duties at work)

With the time left we got in some of the festivities of Band Day on Saturday, and a play that nite in Blue Springs.

Sunday brought Church, The Plaza Arts Festival and a quick stop at Union Station in K.C.

To Summarize.......alot of Walking.  My Heart is thankful, my legs are not!

Old Friends Reunited should be the headline of this entry!  This lady was one of my best friends in High School.  There was not a day go by where we didn't have lunch together! We would  Visit and discuss our lives......ya know High School Stuff. 

Friends forever!   We all say that to someone right?  Well in this case it's true.  We both lost track of each other years ago...school...jobs...love...family.....It happens to the best of friends.  We go on with what  life gives us!

 then not long ago an email!

I live here, where are you?

Here!

Really?  68 miles all that seperated two old budz!  Who knew!?!

We have both had changes in our lives......and now those changes have allowed us to to be together again.  The Great thing is this friendship is forever!  I think somehow we have always known that.  It's just nice to know that after all this time we have been able to tell each other just that!

Just when you think life can't  surprize you anymore....BOOM!

Well I have to say this is not my first attempt at a blog.  I have tried it in the past, but it was really hard to get excited about how it was set up......could I really tell my story in the "cookie cutter" atmosphere it presented?  well the answer was NO!  Well recently I moved my website to the bravenet community.  My old site is still up, but basically dead on the web.  Once again the enthusiasm was lost for it.

So with the new start of my own spot on the web.....I thought I would try to revive my attempt at blogging.  And this is it!

The past 8 months of my life has been a roller coaster ride of sorts.  The biggest "thrill of the ride" has been the reunion of this 42 yr old "boy" with a dear friend.  get to know the Name Krista.  I'm sure it will come up alot in future entries.  As a matter of fact.....the next entry will detail (to some extent) how two old friends have found each other and are enjoying life together.....even while apart.....meaning she lives there, and I live here.  It will all make sense later....I hope >

So here is to New Beginnings! (in more ways than one)
